Monday, November 27th 2017 9:27pm

Hello and welcome to our blog here at PFS Kitchens, the premier kitchen and bedroom design company in Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland. In todays blog post we thought we would look back at 6 of the key kitchen trends so far in 2017. There have been a whole host of new trends this year but here are 6 that we have picked out that have had a big influence on the look of our kitchens.

The Monochrome Look

The monochrome tone has very much been a big trend this year with many people plumping for black, white and grey tones. Indeed grey has been a particularly strong colour this year which is great, as with this predominant colour you can add splashes of colour with the appliances. Monochrome creates a strong look without a doubt.

The Rise Of The Range Cooker

Range cookers have been massively popular in 2017 and they are the one commodity that everyone seems to want if they don`t already have one installed in the kitchen. As the kitchen has now become a big focal point in the home a range cooker seems essential to encourage everyone in the family to get involved in the process of cooking and enjoying the kitchen space.

New Technology In The Kitchen

As people are spending a great deal more time in the kitchen they also want to have all the latest technology in there, from speakers with Bluetooth functionality to pop up sockets for phone charging, the kitchen is now very much in the 21st century.

Hidden Storage Solutions

People don`t want clutter in their kitchen, it makes the room look untidy and as people want to now chill out and relax in the kitchen any clutter makes it more difficult to do so. Therefore lots of high quality storage areas are very much in this year with deep drawers etc.

A Handle Free Kitchen

Handles on kitchen units have been very much out of fashion. People have been going for more of a sleek look with gloss painted finishes. Plain doors and drawers without handles look very modern and this is a trend we believe will continue into 2018.

For The Love Of Quartz

Quartz worktops in the kitchen were once very much seen as a luxury item but now it seems most people plump for this option. They have become more affordable and the use of composite materials means that natural stone is in for both the kitchen and the bathroom.

We hope the above has given you pause for thought. If you would like information on our own kitchen and bedroom design and installation service then please get in touch by giving us a call on 028 8774 0108.
